At last has come the weekend
Daisy said she'd walk in the meadow with me
I have made glorious picnic with pastries grapes and cheese
Daisy needs to catch up on her sleep
She works too hard, but I wanna get going
The weather's so nice, not a cloud in the sky
There'll never be a day like today again

Lasy Daisy came around the stairs
Wearing her pretty pink summer dress
She cracked a giggle the moment she saw me
Her face just glowed with happiness
She told me that i really looked raring to go
And we both enjoyed the double entendre
I held the door like the gentleman I am
And we bounded down the lane in wonder

I'm glad to be the one
To watch Daisy blossom in the sun

We walked hand-in-hand til we found the perfect spot
Then I helped her spread out the blanket
She kissed me once and told me a joke
I'm a sucker for her laugh
She's like a magnet

The trees were budding and flowers all bloomed
And the birds and the bees were enchanted
